Our first cruise was perfect, and couldn't see how it could get any better.But ...
This was our 2'nd cruise, a 7-day cruise to Jamica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel , out of New Orleans. 
When I boarded the Inspiration, it was like a wow came over me. This ship was so much bigger than our first cruise onboard the Enchanted Capri.  Alot more bells and whistles too  
The atmosphere onboard that week, was remarkable. They had island music playing 24 / 7 . Either a band was on deck performing, or it was playing on ships intercom. There was actually music playing all day and night.
From our main dining room staff, The Buffet line, to our bar tenders, to our room stewarts. The service was above and beyond what you normally expierance. It seemed like all the employees where happy, and was glad to be there. I think we tipped extra on just about everyone on that cruise. Even our bar tenders (That was back before the automatic tipping started. )
Several cruises later, I still hadn't expierance that type of a cruise yet. The Valor and the Fantasy came real close . But the Inspiration still edged them out.
